When I perused the website it hit me what leaps we have taken from the family visits growing up in Selma and Cottage Grove, Oregon many years ago. You have SO many talents!
I have the original 8mm movies of you, Betsy and Nancy doing a skit at the house in Cottage Grove. I truly believe you knew at that time what you wanted to do, as you gave several curtsies at the end of the skit; a glowing smile on your face the whole time. That was the same visit that Betsy sang "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee". It was a great visit!
You have performed on the CD's with the same class, elegance, beauty and grace that you've always had, Susan. I look forward to getting together with you next week. Love you ~

Susan and Tim: my husband, sister, her husband and I met you on the Victoria Clipper heading back to Seattle on September 5. What a wonderful visit we had with you and Tim. I will never forget it. I looked you up on the internet and so enjoyed reading about you and your music and career. Of course, I already knew a lot of it as you already told us. Please please put me on your email list and let me know if you are going to be performing in the Seattle area. We would love to come. Thanks again for the wonderful conversation we had. It sure made the trip an enjoyable one!!! Jo Mayes P.S. Your voice is absolutely beautiful.

Hi Susan,
It's been a few years so I thought I'd look you up. TeleSage is still doing well, and your voice is still the IVR system voice on it. I love your new (to me, anyway) voice-over demo here! I remember the Melvin voice....
I still come back to Seattle twice a year, April and September. It'd be nice to see you sometime. Go ahead and put me on your performances mailing list too - you never know when planets (or plans) will align.

Hi Sue! I just googled you and found you. We hung out at the 2005 Road Rally and managed to only leave each other a few voice mails since then. Wow - it's been a big year for you, and congratulations on the Christmas CD with GLOWING reviews!
I just emailed you an announcement for a Jai Josephs thing in Seattle in March. Our group didn't meet last year, so this is his first Seattle event in more than a year. I hope to see you there... or elsewhere in 2007! Seeing your picture makes me miss you!

Just came off air today and wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying Gifts Of The Season. I featured the opening track in today's show and got several very positive calls from listeners. You've got a lovely voice and really have the knack of making a song swing. As well, the backing trio is first-rate. I'll be playing another track of yours on next Saturday's show (actually I am in Fiji that weekend, but a friend is filling in for me). I've been hosting jazz shows here in Australia for 25 years since I moved over from Grants Pass Oregon as a young TV reporter in the early 80s.
On today's show I put your song in a bracket with holiday albums by Diana Krall and Nancy Wilson, and back - announced that all three were done by highly talented and very lovely ladies.
If you ever find yourself in this part of the world (you never know!!), please contact me well before you arrive and I'll put you in touch with the people who run the jazz clubs in town, or maybe even a couple of festival MDs.
Anyway, all the best and thanks for a lovely album. I'd adore hearing any non-Christmas CDs that you've put out. I am quite partial towards singers like Becky Kilgore (an Oregonian), Di Reeves (I interviewed her just before her tour here this year)and, from the past, Lee Wiley, the late Anita O'Day and Helen Merrill. What I'm saying is that fine vocal CDs are always very welcome on Jazz On Sat.
Playlists are not very up-to-date, but you can see what I was doing earlier in '07 and before, on www.jazzonsaturday.com
Cheers,
